According to Sheri Lynn, “I think I was destined to be a Gore Girl! In addition to being the June Gore Girl for I Can Smell Your Brains, I am also the cover model for the 2007-2008 16-month Gore Girls calendar produced by BloodWerks Photography (as they say, great minds…).”

I met Sheri Lynn through her work as a producer for the CT-based indie film company, Blood Bath Pictures. She has been there from the start since 2005. She is a total down to Earth rad chick and we are honored to have her apart of the site! Back in February of this year, as part of our I Can Smell Your Brains Cinema we premiered Bikini Bloodbath on the big screen for a weekend at Chandler Cinemas. So far, Blood Bath Pictures have completed three films in the "Bikini Bloodbath" series:

• "Bikini Bloodbath" starring Debbie Rochon (available everywhere DVDs are sold. PS: that’s me on the cover!)

• "Bikini Bloodbath 2: Bikini Bloodbath Carwash" starring Debbie Rochon and Rachael Robbins (which will have it’s first screening in New Haven, CT Saturday, July 26th at Channel One with a show at Café Nine to follow, featuring David James, Album and Covin)

• "Bikini Bloodbath 3: Bikini Bloodbath Christmas" starring Debbie Rochon, Rachael Robbins, Lloyd Kaufman and fellow Gore Girl Monique Dupree (currently in post-production) They also have two films they will be shooting this fall both of which will be a departure from the "Bikini Bloodbath" series. Have no fear, though, for there will be more Bikini fun as we plan on making the series an “octology”… yes, at least 8 "Bikini Bloodbaths"!

Besides producing all three films, Sheri Lynn also acted in all of them and have also produced and acted in the Hale Manor film "London Betty" (starring Daniel von Bargen from "SuperTroopers" and Clint Howard), which is currently in the final stages of post-production. “I’m extremely fortunate in that I get to make movies with some of my best friends (Jon Gorman & Tom Seymour – writers/directors and Bruce Seymour – executive producer). We have a really supportive, creative group of friends and everyone really loves working on these films together. One of my main responsibilities as producer is gathering props and working on set design, and one of my FAVORITE things to do is scoop Leigh Radziwon (aka LeighFX, the special effects artist who worked on BBB2 and BBB3) and head over to the Goodwill to find some real gems. We usually end up finding some sort of atrocity that we make one of the guys wear (just wait till you see Mrs. Johnson’s party shirt in BBB3!)”

She is obsessed with watching the Discovery Channel ("Man vs. Wild" is her favorite show) and Animal Planet ALL….THE…TIME, downing Grape Skittle martinis or vodka sodas, partaking in way too many champagne campaigns, giving in to every single one of my damn Taco Bell cravings and losing my voice screaming away to “Livin’ on a Prayer”.

Sheri Lynn adds, “I want to give a big ‘ol THANK YOU to Leigh Radziwon for doing the effects/makeup and Tony Colapietro for taking the photos for this shoot!”

ICSYB - If you woke up tomorrow to find that the dead had risen and you could only use one weapon to defend yourself, what would you use?

Sheri Lynn - I think an ax would be pretty brutal. You can definitely get some good chops in and split a whole bunch of brains! An ax would get heavy, but I think I have the guns to power through it.

So dinners at seven right?ICSYB - If you could pick any celebrity you would like to see get slaughtered beyond recognition in a horror flick who would you choose and why?

Sheri Lynn - That band that sings the song about the girl who’s into “nu metal” and all the boys want her. I think they also sing “Stacy’s Mom”. I hear their songs all the time at the gym and it puts me in the worst mood every single time.

ICSYB – Thank goodness I listen to the oldies channel! Being an actress in the horror genre, would you prefer playing the villain or the victim?

Sheri Lynn - So far, I’ve only played victims, which is fun because you get to scream a lot and, I mean, who doesn’t like that?? I love wearing effects makeup and having gnarly wounds and blood spraying everywhere. I would definitely be into playing a villain sometime, though. I tell ya, what I really want to be is a zombie… that’s the dream!

ICSYB – Do you prefer the slow moving zombies of yesteryear or the quick fast paced zombies of today?

Sheri Lynn - I’m old school…slow zombies all the way!

ICSYB – Which family was cooler – The Munsters or The Addams Family?

Sheri Lynn - I was always a Munsters girl. I wanted to be Lily Munster soooo bad when I was growing up!!

ICSYB – Yea, I have these rad Lily pics in my hallway, Andy Warhol style I got on Ebay. I love The Munsters! Do you believe in the possibility of there being a Loch Ness Monster or a Bigfoot really out there somewhere?

Sheri Lynn - I don’t know enough about either one to say one way or the other, but I think anything is possible.

I Can't wait to find out what's for dessert!ICSYB – What about Aliens? Are you a believer?

Sheri Lynn - Again, I think anything is possible. There’s so much out there that we have no idea about, but I’ve never been particularly intrigued by the thought of aliens.

ICSYB – Say you stumbled on the puzzle box from Hellraiser, what would you do with it?

Sheri Lynn - If anyone tells me any details about the Sex and the City movie before I have a chance to see it, I would gladly hand it over to them. I think it’d be a fitting punishment.

ICSYB – Well, don’t worry – I will be the last person on the planet to spoil that film for you! Haha What film would you say is one of the scariest you have ever seen and how did it affect you?

Sheri Lynn - I very rarely get nightmares, but there have been two movies that have given me them. One is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which is pretty much a given. It’s so raw and unnerving… I just love everything about that movie.

The second one is the French horror film Ils. That movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and left me feeling so fucked up after it was over! There is one image that gave me nightmares a couple nights in a row. If you've seen the film, you know what I'm talking about!

ICSYB – How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?

Sheri Lynn - They say three, but I’m not sure. Every time I’m around candy I pretty much inhale it.

ICSYB – That’s exactly what I did with the candy necklaces you sent me :)
