 Extra gaping in the shaft of knee-hi boots? |

Have any of you guys ever had the shaft of your leather knee high boots tailored/altered? How did that work out, did it ruin the look of the boot?
I have skinny calves and ALWAYS have issues with gaping. Which is shame because I have some really nice boots that stay in the box. The only way I can get the slim hugging fit is to buy the ones with the polyutherane slip on shaft.
